Remote Device Management (RDM) is a protocol enhancement to DMX512 that allows Bi-directional communications between light fixtures and lighting consoles or RDM specific software over a standard DMX line, The SSL-S6U-RDM is a 19 inch 1U mountable six-way opto-splitter that supports the bi-directional communication standard E1.20 RDM as well as DMX512, Used in installations that require ‘star’ wiring configurations, all output ports are separate electrical entities, fully opto-isolated and independently protected against fault voltages, the input channel is completely electronically isolated from the output channels and the power supply, each channel has independent driver line to amplify the DMX/RDM signal.
